Splash House is happening this weekend and it’s just as much the quintessential summer event as you’d expect, based off the name alone. The two-day poolside music festival in Palm Springs has an extensive lineup of artists that will make you wish for endless sun and rosé. But the unexpected guest at the music event? Yoga!
Katie Dunlop of Love Sweat & Fitness will be leading morning classes—because even festival goers want to get their workout on. It’s a growing trend: Atlanta’s TomorrowWorld happening later in the year will include a Cyc Fitness pop up studio; and multi-city Daybreaker—sporadic 8 A.M. raves before you go to work—often offers a yoga class before the dance party starts.
“I typically teach more of a Yoga Sculpt class at Splash House,” Dunlop says. “We do traditional Vinyasa yoga flow with an upbeat cardio workout mixed in. My musical tastes include many of the Splash House artists, so there are a bunch [of them] on the playlist.”
Even if your weekend doesn’t include lounging in a cabanas, Dunlop shared a killer workout playlist below that’s worthy of your next workout.
